Terms of Service
Last updated: April 2026
The Quick Summary
FlowBlock is a productivity app. You own your data. Don't do illegal stuff. We'll try our best to keep the service running. If things go wrong, let's work it out like reasonable people.
What This Is
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and FlowBlock ("we," "us," "our") about using our app and services. By using FlowBlock, you agree to these terms.
We've tried to write this in plain language because legal documents shouldn't require a law degree to understand.

What You Can't Do
- Violate laws or regulations

2. Your Content
You Own Your Stuff
Your tasks, notes, projects, and any content you create in FlowBlock belongs to you. We don't claim ownership of your data.
License to Provide the Service
By using FlowBlock, you give us permission to:
- Store your content on our servers
- Display your content back to you in the app
- Process your content for features (like the planner)
- Create backups for data protection
This license is limited to operating the service. We won't sell your content, use it for advertising, or share it without your consent.

You agree not to upload content that:
- Is illegal or promotes illegal activity
- Infringes on copyrights, trademarks, or other rights
- Contains malware or harmful code
- Is harassing, threatening, or hateful
We reserve the right to remove content that violates these rules, but we don't actively monitor your private data.
3. Service Availability
We Try Our Best
We aim to keep FlowBlock running smoothly, but we can't guarantee 100% uptime. Sometimes things break, servers need maintenance, or the universe conspires against us.
Planned Maintenance
We'll try to schedule maintenance during low-usage hours and notify you in advance when possible.
No Guarantees
FlowBlock is provided "as is." We don't guarantee that:
- The service will always be available
- The service will be error-free
- The service will meet all your specific needs
4. Subscriptions and Payments
Free and Paid Tiers
FlowBlock may offer free and paid subscription options. Features available in each tier may change over time.
Payment Terms
If you subscribe to a paid plan:
- Payments are processed through our payment providers (App Store, Google Play, or web payment processor)
- Subscriptions auto-renew unless you cancel
- You're responsible for all charges on your account
Cancellation
- You can cancel your subscription anytime
- Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period
- You'll retain access to paid features until then

Price Changes
We may change pricing with reasonable notice. Price increases won't affect your current billing period.
Refunds
Refund policies depend on how you subscribed:
- App Store / Google Play: Follow their refund processes
- Web: Contact us within 7 days of purchase if there's an issue
5. Intellectual Property
Our Stuff
FlowBlock, including its design, code, features, and branding, belongs to us. You can't copy, modify, or redistribute it.
Your Stuff
Your content belongs to you. We respect that.
Feedback
If you send us suggestions or feedback, we may use those ideas to improve FlowBlock without compensation. Don't send us ideas you want to keep confidential.
6. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your data. By using FlowBlock, you agree to our privacy practices.
7. Account Termination
You Can Leave Anytime
You can delete your account through the app settings or by contacting us. We'll delete your data according to our privacy policy.
We Can Terminate Accounts
We may suspend or terminate accounts that:
- Violate these terms
- Engage in harmful behavior
- Are used for illegal purposes
- Remain inactive for extended periods (we'll warn you first)
What Happens After Termination
- You lose access to the service
- Your data is deleted (see Privacy Policy for timing)
- Any prepaid subscription fees are non-refundable
8. Disclaimers
No Professional Advice
FlowBlock is a productivity tool, not a medical, mental health, or professional service. If you're struggling, please seek help from qualified professionals.
ADHD-Friendly, Not ADHD Treatment
We design for neurodivergent minds, but we're not a treatment or therapy. FlowBlock complements professional support; it doesn't replace it.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- We're not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
- Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the past 12 months (or $100 if you haven't paid anything)
This isn't about avoiding responsibility - it's about being realistic about what a productivity app can guarantee.
9. Indemnification
If your use of FlowBlock causes legal problems (like violating someone's rights), you agree to defend and hold us harmless from any resulting claims or damages.
10. Dispute Resolution
Let's Talk First
If you have a problem, contact us. Most issues can be resolved through conversation.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada, without regard to conflict of law principles.
Arbitration (if applicable)
For disputes that can't be resolved informally, you agree to binding arbitration rather than court proceedings, except for claims that can be brought in small claims court.
Class Action Waiver
You agree to resolve disputes individually, not as part of a class action.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms as FlowBlock evolves. When we make significant changes:
- We'll update the "Last updated" date
- We'll notify you in the app or via email
- Continued use after notice means you accept the new terms
We won't make changes that significantly reduce your rights without giving you a chance to opt out.
12. Miscellaneous
Entire Agreement
These terms, plus our Privacy Policy, are the complete agreement between you and FlowBlock.
Severability
If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
No Waiver
If we don't enforce a term, we haven't waived our right to enforce it later.
Assignment
You can't transfer your rights under these terms. We can transfer ours (like if we're acquired), but your rights won't be reduced.
Force Majeure
We're not liable for failures due to circumstances beyond our control (natural disasters, internet outages, pandemics, etc.).

The Philosophy Behind These Terms
We're not trying to trap you in fine print or protect ourselves from every theoretical lawsuit. These terms exist because:
- Clarity helps everyone - We want you to know what to expect
- Rules enable trust - Basic guidelines let us all focus on what matters
- Fairness goes both ways - We have rights, you have rights, let's respect them
FlowBlock is built on the idea that tools should work with you, not against you. These terms reflect that philosophy.
These terms are written in plain language because life's too short for legalese. If something's unclear, ask us.
